From The Commander

Wow where has the time gone? I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday and enjoyed time with friends and family. Before we know it Christmas will be upon us. Speaking of Christmas, we have a box at the Post for “Toys for Tots”, if anyone would like to make a small contribution of A NEW TOY please stop by and drop it off.

On December 7 we will be gathering at the River Walk Bridge in downtown Milford to recognize the 75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day. The ceremony will begin at 11:00 am with a short prayer and then placement of a wreath into the Mispillion River. I would like to see as many Post and Auxiliary members show up as possible.
Congratulations to Steve Lorentz for being appointed by VFW National as Aide-de-Camp to the National Commander-in-Chief for Delaware for 2016-2017.

Due to the Christmas Holidays there will be no Fish Fry this month; they will start up again in January. Again I would like to thank all the volunteers for their help preparing and serving and making our Fish Fry’s so successful.

In closing I would like to wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas and hope all of your wishes and dreams come true. My Christmas present is having the opportunity to be your Commander and being blessed with the best line officers in the state. I am proud to be part of the family of 6483. Thank you.

Yours in Comradeship, Ed Moczulski Proud Commander of Post 6483
